Our co-founder, Lauren, began her career in healthcare in 2013 as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Over the years, she has worked in acute care, community health, education, and management roles — always driven by a passion for supporting others.
Lauren’s connection to fertility and family building stems from personal experience. After her partner’s cancer diagnosis, the two faced unexpected challenges conceiving, leading them to navigate fertility treatments and explore IVF options in the United States. This experience gave Lauren firsthand understanding of the emotional uncertainty many families face.
In 2019, after growing her own family, Lauren felt called to give back through surrogacy, helping an intended family welcome their child in 2020. A beautiful friendship developed along the way, and they continue to stay connected today. Inspired by both her personal experience and the gaps she witnessed within the system, she co-founded True Match Surrogacy to create a more compassionate, transparent, and supportive path for families and surrogates alike.
Lauren lives in Enderby, British Columbia, with her family. Outside of work, most of her time is spent with her four children, her partner, and her mother-in-law, who lives with them and is an important part of their support system. As a family, they love spending time outdoors—going on adventures, enjoying days at the beach, and travelling to visit loved ones
