Marcel Beerkens is a dedicated healthcare professional with a strong commitment to compassionate, client-centred service. Marcel brings practical experience, integrity, and a collaborative spirit to True Match Surrogacy, supporting families and surrogates with professionalism and care.

Marcel’s path to healthcare was shaped by a lifelong dedication to helping others. With nearly three decades of experience working with people in complex and sensitive situations, he has developed a deep understanding of the importance of trust, dignity, and clear communication—qualities that are essential in the surrogacy journey.

In 2025, Marcel graduated with a Health Care Assistant (HCA) diploma, where he focused on client advocacy, care planning, and practical support strategies. He brings this clinical foundation into his work at True Match Surrogacy, ensuring that surrogates and intended parents have access to informed, respectful guidance throughout the matching and transition process.

Prior to his career in healthcare, Marcel spent over 27 years in post-secondary education. His extensive background includes work as a career counsellor, an adult education instructor, a software support analyst, a union representative, a treasurer, contract negotiator, and occupational health and safety officer. This diverse expertise gives Marcel a unique ability to support individuals and families through complex decision-making, negotiate thoughtfully, and build systems that protect wellbeing and fairness.

Marcel lives with his family in Kelowna, British Columbia, and outside of his professional work he is passionate about community engagement, lifelong learning, and creating supportive environments where people feel heard and respected.
