You may still qualify for surrogacy with certain conditions, including tubal ligation, herpes, or endometriosis, pending medical review.
Medical conditions — including specific uterine abnormalities, prior ablation, HIV, Hepatitis B or C, and some medications or mental health conditions — may disqualify candidates.
Surrogacy prioritizes minimizing risk, certain medications that are advised to continue in personal pregnancies may be a disqualifier for a surrogacy journey.
Canadian intended parents reimburse surrogates for out-of-pocket expenses related to pregnancy. This includes everyday items such as groceries, childcare, dog walking, household help, lost wages, transportation, cellphone bills, snow removal, and meals for medical appointments. To make things easy, we provide tools to track expenses — as well as a receipt book for items that don’t normally come with receipts— like paying your child to clean the litterbox.
Reimbursements are processed monthly through escrow, making payments consistent and reliable. You’ll work with our team to set a monthly reimbursement cap based on your family’s needs, and reimbursements may continue for up to 15 weeks postpartum. Intended parents are fully informed of higher reimbursement caps before joining our agency.

Every surrogacy journey follows a similar path, but timing can vary based on embryo readiness and transfer outcomes.
Step 1. Discuss with your partner and decide if this journey is right for you and your family.
Step 2. Fill out an online application and receive a call for further screening.
Step 3. Sign an agency contract and create your profile to review the Intended Parents in our program.
Step 4. Choose your surrogacy match
Step 5. Complete your psychological screening and medical screening. This entails psychological assessment for you and your partner if any. Blood work, medical history and OBGYN records are reviewed by the IVF clinic. Further testing for lining thickness, uterus shape among other things may be performed.
Step 6. Complete contracts, have a will and life insurance put into place.
Step 7. Start IVF process
Step 8. Embryo transfer
Step 9. Wait for bloodwork to confirm pregnancy
Step 10. First ultrasound
Step 11. Be released to a regular pregnancy care provider (Midwife, OB, family physician)
Step 12. Birth plan and delivery

We require escrow accounts to be fully funded prior to embryo transfer, ensuring all financial obligations can be met without delay or uncertainty.
Intended parents submit a $2,500 refundable deposit, which safeguards reimbursement of expenses if a match ends prior to contract completion.

Birth control or Lupron shots are used to regulate and schedule your cycle. Estrogen (pills, patches, or injections) prepares the uterine lining for transfer. Progesterone—via injections, suppositories, or capsules—is essential for supporting a healthy pregnancy. Low-dose aspirin may be included to optimize your results.
