Not every intended parent requires a complete agency program. Sometimes you need professional guidance, administrative assistance or case-specific support without committing to a full-service surrogacy package.

Our Professional Services Retainer provides flexible access to True Match Surrogacy’s professional services on an hourly basis.

$5,000 CAD | Professional Retainer

Professional Services Rate: $240 CAD / Hour

Your $5,000 payment is placed on account as a professional services retainer and applied against eligible services as they are provided and documented.

At the standard rate of $240 CAD per hour, the retainer provides up to approximately 20.8 hours of professional services, depending on the nature and extent of the work requested.

What Can the Retainer Be Used For?

The Professional Services Retainer is designed for individuals and families who require specialized assistance without enrolling in one of our comprehensive Full-Service Agency Programs.

Services may include:

Professional consultations and strategy sessions
Surrogacy journey planning and general process guidance
Administrative coordination
Case preparation and organization
Document collection and administrative review
Intended-parent profile preparation and assistance
Surrogate profile and matching-process support
Communication and coordination with journey participants
Coordination with fertility clinics, legal professionals, escrow providers and other third-party professionals
Meeting preparation and participation
Research and information gathering related to your case
International journey administrative coordination
Technology, account and client-platform assistance
Case-specific problem solving and administrative support
Other professional or administrative services agreed upon in advance

The scope of services can be tailored to your circumstances and documented before substantive work begins.

How the Retainer Works

Step 1 | Fund Your Retainer

You provide an initial $5,000 CAD retainer before professional services begin.

Step 2 | Services Are Provided

Authorized professional services are billed against the retainer at:

$240 CAD / Hour

Time is recorded as services are performed and deducted from your available retainer balance.

Step 3 | Monitor Your Balance

You receive an accounting of professional time and charges so you can understand how your retainer is being used and how much remains available.

If additional work is required after the retainer has been substantially depleted, True Match may request that the retainer be replenished before additional services are performed.

When Is a Professional Retainer Appropriate?

This option may be particularly useful when you:

Need professional guidance but don’t require complete agency representation
Are managing portions of your surrogacy journey independently
Already have a surrogate and require administrative or coordination assistance
Need help organizing or preparing an existing case
Require assistance coordinating multiple professionals or service providers
Want access to True Match expertise for a defined project or specific stage of your journey
Have an unusual or complex situation requiring individualized administrative attention

Rather than purchasing services you may not need, the retainer allows you to engage True Match for specific professional assistance and pay according to the time actually required.

Retainer vs. Full-Service Agency Program

Professional Services Retainer — Targeted Assistance

Best suited to clients who need specific consultations, administrative coordination, case preparation or other defined professional services.

$5,000 CAD initial retainer
$240 CAD per hour

Services are billed according to professional time used.

Full-Service Agency Program — Comprehensive Representation

Best suited to intended parents who want True Match actively involved throughout their complete surrogacy journey, including surrogate recruitment, promotion, matching, case management and ongoing coordination.

Our Professional Services Retainer does not automatically include the services or benefits of a Full-Service Agency Program, unless specifically agreed upon as part of the retained scope of work.

Every surrogacy journey is different. Some families require comprehensive representation from beginning to end; others simply need an experienced team to assist with a particular challenge, project or stage of their journey.

The Professional Services Retainer provides that flexibility.

Initial Retainer: $5,000 CAD

Professional Services: $240 CAD / Hour

Important Retainer Information

The $5,000 CAD payment is a professional services retainer against which authorized services are billed at the standard rate of $240 CAD per hour, unless a different rate or arrangement is expressly agreed to in writing.

The retainer is not a flat fee for unlimited services and does not, by itself, enroll the client in a True Match Full-Service Agency Program or monthly membership.

True Match Surrogacy provides surrogacy-related consulting, administrative and coordination services. We are not a law firm, fertility clinic, medical provider or financial advisor, and our professional services do not constitute legal, medical or financial advice. Where appropriate, clients may be referred to independent qualified professionals.

Third-party professional fees, medical expenses, legal fees, fertility clinic costs, surrogate reimbursements, escrow costs, travel and other external expenses are separate and are not deducted from the retainer unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Billing practices, minimum billing increments, replenishment requirements, treatment of any unused retainer balance, cancellation terms and the precise scope of authorized services are governed by the applicable Professional Services Agreement.
